Wood planks are a type of item that the ClueFinders must use during their quest in The ClueFinders 6th Grade Adventures: Empire of the Plant People.

Appearance

Wood planks are long, thin rectangular pieces of petrified wood. Ficus explains that the planks come from the empire's ancestral trees, and each plank is marked with an event from the year the tree fell.

Usage in the Game

Leslie and Owen must collect wood planks to build bridges across the bottomless pits of the Empire of the Plant People in order to reach the throne room. The wood planks are collected by overcoming various obstacles throughout the kingdom. During the Chasm of Time activity, the planks are automatically withdrawn from the backpack, and each one has a sentence written on it that tells of some aspect of history. The planks must be placed in chronological order in order to complete a bridge. Six planks are required for each of the three bridges across the bottomless pits, for a total of eighteen planks required for completion.

Wood planks are stored in Leslie's backpack.
