The ClueFinders Mystery Adventure Writing Contest was a writing contest sponsored by TLC Education Properties Inc. It began on October 2, 2000. The final date for submitting entries was December 18, 2000.
The contest was free to enter and open to all 3rd-6th grade students attending public or private schools in the United States. Contestants were asked to write a mystery story involving the ClueFinders characters. 3rd and 4th graders were required to write a story from 150 to 300 words in length, and 5th and 6th graders were required to write a story from 300 to 500 words in length.
Prizes for first, second and third place were awarded for each grade level.
- First Place - An iMac computer with the complete school edition of the ClueFinders software. (Note: At this time, The ClueFinders: The Incredible Toy Store Adventure! and The ClueFinders: Mystery Mansion Arcade were not part of the ClueFinders series yet, so they wouldn't have been included in this bundle.)
- Second Place - School editions of The ClueFinders Search and Solve Adventures, The ClueFinders Math Adventures and The ClueFinders Reading Adventures.
- Third Place - Contestant's choice of one ClueFinders school edition software product.
