Bottomless Pits of Doom is an activity in The ClueFinders 3rd Grade Adventures.
Description[]
The goal of this activity is to build bridges across the titular pits, as building the bridges also activates the "Mathra Trap". To build the bridges, use snagnets to drag the bridge stones into place on the bridge. Different stages have different rules as to how the stones can be placed.
- Purple Stage: The bridge stones must be aligned so whenever two words touch, the words must be antonyms
- Green Stage: The bridge stones must be aligned so whenever two words touch, the words must be synonyms
- Red Stage: The bridge stones must be aligned so whenever two words touch, the words must be in the same category. (For example, if the word is a color, it must touch another color, if the word is an article of clothing, it must touch another article of clothing, e.t.c.)
- Blue Stage: The bridge stones must be aligned so whenever two words touch, the words must be homophones
- Gold Stage: The bridge stones must be aligned so whenever two words touch, the words can either be used as nouns or pronouns (in level 1), nouns or adjectives (in level 2).
Stones the user is not ready or able to use for whatever reason can be stored in a side area. However, the maximum number of bridge stones the user can store there is three.
